Our correspondent, Mr. X of Y-ville, Z-land, responded to Mrs. Malik's email.

She referred him to a Mr Samuel Casilas (<samcasilas01@yahoo.com>), who passed him to a character allegedly called Sir Larry Peterside (<payment_center06@yahoo.co.uk>). The bogus Sir Larry asked for a payment of £700 sterling for the "LOndon Payment Center".

He went on to assure Mr. X that the payment wasn't for him, it was to pay to the government of the United Kingdom so that Mr. X's cheque could be documented, registered and certified. This, allegedly, is something which was introduced following the terrorist attacks on the United States on 2001/09/11 and the Madrid train bombing.

'Sir Larry' added that it was all to do with United Nations Resolution 1373 under Chapter VII of the UN Charter to prevent lottery funds from falling into the hands of terrorists.

'Sir Larry' asked Mr. X to send the £700 to a Mr. Stuart, alleged head of the scam's legal department. He also mentioned a John Eric Max of 518 Longbridge Road, Barking, 'City of London', whose mobile phone number is +44 07045 711572.

This is 'Sir Larry's' final illiterate message before he was told that he had been rumbled:
