301/102 Occupation / Precipice
The demented Cylons have turned New Caprica into a version of Iraq in their attempts to bring peace and the word of God to the humans. Four months on from their arrival, they are messing humans about big-time, people have been locked up, disappeared for the entire period of the occupation, and the resistance are still blowing things up.
Mrs. Tigh gives sexual favours to her Cylon to get her husband released. He's the boss of the resistance. Starbuck is being persecuted by a Cylon which wants her to love him, and she keeps killing him. Ex-president Roslin is confident that Galactica will return, and she wants the resistance to attack a high-profile target. The Cylons decide that the best way to bring the word of God to the humans is through fear and lots of executions.
Someone is giving the resistance inside information (it turns out to be Mr. Gator). The resistance plan to blow up the police academy at a graduation ceremony for new members of the New Caprica Police. Out in space, Galactica and Pegasus keep running drills, with lots of screw-ups, Apollo is fat and lazy and his dad ain't impressed, and Sharon the Cylon thinks Adama needs to forgive himself.
The resistance contacts a Raptor in orbit. President Baltar is the main target at the graduation ceremony. He decides not to go and escapes the resistance suicide bomber. Roslin and the Chief are outraged by Col. Tigh's terror bombing plans but he is not impressed. Starbuck's Cylon made a daughter from her at the baby farm, and the child is used in the softening up process.
Adama sends Sharon to New Caprica as a liason officer after recruiting her into the fleet. Apollo wants to run away and look for Earth. Adama tells him to go ahead but he's going back to New Caprica. Roslin tells Tigh: 'No more suicide bombings.' He tells her to stick her principles some place safe and he has a war to fight. Baltar is forced to sign an execution order for all the detainees. If the insurgency won't stop, the Cylons decide, they'll have to reduce the human population to a more manageable size.
The NCP round up more people, some suspects, some at random. Mrs. Tigh is forced to betray the resistance to keep her husband out of gaol. Sharon lands on New Caprica and the reception party is ambushed shortly afterwards. Gator lets Mrs. Chief Tyrol escape just before the NCP massacre the prisoners out in the wilds, Soviet style.

303 Exodus, Part 1
One hour before the end of the last episode . . . Chief Tyrol brings a Cylon death list to Col. Tigh, who orders an ambush of the death squad. So the bad guys and the Cylon centurions are shot up before they can do much damage, and ex-president Roslin and Tom Zarek are saved with some others. Sharon's group also take out their attackers and they find evidence that Mrs. Tigh betrayed the resistance. President Baltar is an unshaven wreck and not enjoying life.
On Galactica, Admiral Adama tells his son to take Pegasus and the civilian fleet in search of Earth if he doesn't make a rendezvous in 18 hours. Galactica is going back to New Caprica, where the Cylons are not enjoying being killed over and over and being downloaded into a new body.
One of the No. 3s visits the Oracle, Selloi, after having strange dreams and she learns that Hera, Sharon's baby, is still alive. Ex-president Roslin is keen to keep the child alive as she thinks she may be the shape of things to come.
Mrs. Tigh tells the resistance that she betrayed them to protect her husband from the Cylons. The No. 3 confronts Sharon and tells her that Hera is still alive but Sharon doesn't believe that Admiral Adama would have lied to her. Galactica prepares for the rescue mission. To be continued.

304 Exodus, Part 2
Apollo has given up hope of seeing his father again and his wife thinks he should go looking for Earth with the civilian fleet. On New Caprica, Mrs. Tigh tells her husband that she did betray the Resistance. And she also screwed a Brother Cavil into submission to get her husband out of gaol. So he poisons her. President Baltar tells the Cylons to leave as the Resistance starts blowing things up and the evacuation plan goes into operation.
Galactica's Vipers decoy the Cylons while their ship jumps into New Caprica's atmosphere and joins the attack. Starbuck is released with the other prisoners but she insists on going back for her daughter, which gives her a chance to kill the Cylon who has been persecuting her. Adama finds himself facing 4 Cylon base ships but Pegasus arrives to join in the battle.
The Cylons decide to abandon New Caprica and set off a nuke at the encampment. Mr. Gator pulls a gun on Baltar but he tells him he can stop the Cylons using the nuke if he's allowed to live. Apollo orders the crew of Pegasus to abandon ship and puts the wreck on a ramming course to a base star.
Baltar finds Hera, Sharon's hybrid child, alive with her dead adoptive mother. So he gives the child to the No. 3 sent to set off the nuke and deflects her from her original mission. The refugees arrive on board Galactica. Starbuck finds that her 'daugher' is really a child stolen from another woman. Ex-president Roslin is told that Hera didn't get off New Caprica. And finally, Adama gets rid of his whiskers for a new start.

305 Collaborators
People who worked for the Cylons on New Caprica are being sentenced to death by The Circle. The man who saved Chief Tyrol's wife from a death squad is spaced for his part in two dozen murders. Baltar is still in the hands of the Cylons, who are deadlocked 3-3 with one undecided over whether to keep him. Tom Zarek is the president, but he plans to get Laura Roslin elected vice-president then stand down. But he wants a job in the government afterwards. So Roslin says he can be vice-president.
Mr. Gator gets a hard time from Colonel Tigh for working in President Baltar's office after the Cylons took over. Adama tells Tigh to go and sleep it off. Gator's case comes up before The Circle, there's no hard evidence against him but Col. Tigh still wants him dead. Starbuck's husband quits over the railroading operation.
Apollo, who has shed half a stone, tells Admiral Adama that 13 survivors have disappeared from Galactica and other ships. Gator tells Starbuck that he fed information to the Resistance on New Caprica. She is not impressed and she is recruited to the kangaroo court to replace her husband.
Gator is kidnapped and Chief Tyrol realizes, from what he says, that he was his source of inside information, so Gator survives. Zarek admits that he set up The Circle to get the dirty business over before Roslin became president again. After she takes office, she orders a general amnesty and a Truth & Reconciliation Committee. And at the end, Gator is okay again with Chief Tyrol.

306 Torn (1)
Baltar's phantom No. 6 hasn't deserted him and she tells him that Cylon psychology is based on rejection, that she is an angel of God, sent to help him, and that all Cylons are part of one big eco-system. And they can also use their imagination to turn the dull corridors of a base ship into a forest; in much the same way that Baltar has his fantasies. The Cylons know about Earth, the 13th Colony, they want to make it their new home, and Baltar's only hope of survival is to help them to get there.
On Galactica, Starbuck is grounded for crazy flying and drunken Col. Tigh is hearing his dead wife's voice. Mr. Gator is trying to figure out from Baltar's notes how far he got in his search for Earth. Gator provides Adama with a couple of pulsars and a constellation to look for. The Blinking Eye in the Lion's Head Nebula shows the road to Earth. The Cylons are also looking for it. Sharon the Cylon gets a new call-sign on Galactica; Athena.
There are 12 Cylon types but Baltar has seen only 7 of them. His No. 6 says they don't talk about the Final Five. A Cylon base star sent into a nebula to look for the pulsars reports an infection running through the human crew. The resurrection ship is moved out of range and Baltar is told to investigate.
The pilots on Galactica are divided into 2 camps; originals and rescued; and Starbuck and Tigh are stirring up trouble. Baltar gets to see the crazy Cylon who controls his base star. He finds the infected base star full of dead and dying humanoid Cylons and there is a man-made device aboard. A No. 6 tells him it has to be a beacon left by the 13th Tribe and the source of the infection. Baltar kills her and keeps quiet about the device. The Cylons abandon the infected ship.
Adama challenges Starbuck and Tigh, telling them to shoot him, ship out or shape up. Col. Tigh choses to dive into a bottle. Starbuck gives herself a haircut and shapes up. At the end, the Cylons on Baltar's base star are looking at images of the device and a scout ship from Galactica finds the pulsars and a Cylon ship.

307 A Measure of Salvation (2)
Apollo, Sharon (a.k.a. Athena) and a gang of marines check out the base star stranded in the Lion's Head Nebula. They find lots of dead Cylons and 5 survivors. One of them tells Athena about the infected beacon. Apollo reports that his party has been exposed to the disease. Everyone, including the prisoners, is put in quarantine. The base ship self-destructs. The Cylons think the virus came from Galactica with Baltar's help, so the No. 3 tortures him while his phantom No. 6 takes Baltar's mind off the torture.
The doctor on Galactica finds that humans are immune to the virus before he gets round to testing Athena. Then he decides that he can make a vaccine, which will keep the Cylons alive if they get regular treatments. A Cylon prisoner says his ship was looking for the Lion Nebula and Baltar is alive and helping the Cylons look for Earth for a new beginning.
Apollo realizes they can wipe out all Cylons by killing the prisoners in range of a resurrection ship. Helo, Sharon's husband, says genocide is always wrong. President Roslin is okay with the idea and she keeps reminding everyone that the Cylons tried to wipe out humanity. Adama says it's her decision as head of the military. Sharon is immune to the virus because she had a half-human baby.
Galactica picks a fight with the Cylons after Roslin authorizes the use of bioweapons. Adama orders the prisoners to be killed but Helo has already done it; before the resurrection ship arrived. Adama decides there will be no investigation. The doctor thinks the beacon was contaminated accidentally; 'someone sneezed on it'. And the virus is an exact match to one which was around when the 13th Colony left Kobol.

308 Hero
President Roslin decides to give Adama a medal for 45 years' courageous service then Galactica picks up 2 Cylons chasing a 3rd Cylon ship, aboard which is Daniel Novachek, a.k.a. Bulldog, who was captured by the Cylons 3 years before while on a black ops mission with Adama. He says he escaped from a base star infected with the Cylon-killing virus.
President Roslin realizes that Adama is hiding something about Bulldog's mission. Adama says it's his mess and he'll fix it. Bulldog visits the wreck of Col. Tigh, who tells him the truth. Adama tells his son that he shot Bulldog down to prevent the Cylons from discovering the mission to spy on them. Lee is amazed to hear that the Colonies suspected that the Cylons would attack them and that the story that no one had seen the Cylons for 40 years is a lie.
Adama admits that his mission breached an armistice and, if discovered, it would have been seen by the Cylons as an act of war. Bulldog ejected just before the missile hit his ship, and Adama thinks he initiated the attack on the Colonies by stepping over the line. Starbuck realizes that the Cylons kept missing when they shot at Bulldog. She tells Col. Tigh that the Cylons let Bulldog escape. Bulldog takes Adama prisoner but Col. Tigh tells him that the Cylons manipulated him and they want him to kill Adama.
Col. Tigh crawls out of his bottle and Adama tenders his resignation to Roslin. She tells him that the Admiralty might have sent him to provoke a war, and that there was no single cause for the Cylon attack. She says Adama has to accept the medal and be a hero for the fleet as his penance. And Bulldog is drafted again as a pilot.

309 Unfinished Business
Admiral Adama stages a boxing tournament on Galactica to help the crew blow off steam and ease tensions. Several grudge matches develop: Helo versus Apollo, Adama versus Chief Tyrol and Apollo versus Starbuck. The boxing is intercut with flashbacks to New Caprica before the Cylons arrived to explain why the contestants are so eager to knock each others' brains out.
After his match with the Chief, whom Adama released from the fleet so that his baby could be born on New Caprica, Adama admits that he made the mistake of letting the team split up before the fight was over. But he's not going to make the same mistake again.
Apollo's match with Starbuck is grounded in a night of passion between them on New Caprica, after which she got married to her Pyramid player from the Resistance. This is very much a 'marking time' episode full of stuff about the characters and nothing much directed to progress in the war with the Cylons.

Sky service to Virgin Media ended after Sky asked for twice the money despite a falling audience.
