Stargate Universe

Stargate Universe is a reinvention of the Stargate cencept, which places 80 people on an Ancient spacecraft called Destiny, which is on a voyage of discovery, accompanied by seed ships, which plant stargates on useful planets along Destiny's course through our galaxy toward other galaxies in the great beyond. There are new threats, new enemies and new worlds to visit, and a dream of getting home for some of the passengers on Destiny.

pilot: 101 Air (1) A whole gang of people and luggage come flying through a stargate, soldiers and civilians. How did it happen? A bright young man called Eli was recruited by General O'Neill and the sinister Dr. Rush after he solved a mathematical problem. He played hard to get so he was beamed up to an orbiting spaceship as a convincer.
An Ancient stargate which dialled out only had been found on a planet. The problem was how to get it powered up to dial a 9-chevron address. Rush was another McKay; nothing was ever his fault. He felt that he could operate the gate with Eli's solution, and a whole gang, including a senator and his daughter Chloe, gathered there to see it happen.
The first trial of the gate flopped. Bad guys started attacking the planet for no apparent reason. Instead of dialling home, Rush used a suggestion from Eli and got the 9-chevron address dialled. Then everyone had to pile through the gate before the planet exploloded. The planet duly exploded, taking out the bad guys of the Lucian Alliance.
Colonel Carter reported 12 dead and 80 missing. Thanks to Rush, the MIAs ended up on an Ancient starship, which had started from Earth, passed through the Pegasus galaxy and was billions of light years from home.

102 Air (2) Lt. Scott organized a search of the ship; plugging the leaks was a priority. Dr. Rush was up to no good. The lieutenant got Eli to open a locked compartment; which was sealed because of a hull breach! Rush claimed he'd used a set of Ancient communication stones to speak to General O'Neill, who had put him in charge of the ship. No one believed him but Scott let him be in charge pro tem as Col. Young was flat on his back still, severely concussed.
Eli found a stash of camera drones. The atmosphere plant was a disaster. The senator was another crock. The colonel felt that he had to volunteer for a suicide mission to seal off a leak. The senator got there first. Rush told Chloe that getting her dad killed wasn't his fault. All he was interested in was getting the credit for finding the Ancient ship, which was called Destiny.
Col. Young tried to dial Earth but the ship dropped out of FTL and dialled a gate on a nearby planet. Rush said the Ancients had sent out unmanned probes to plant gates along Destiny's route. The ship would be there for 12 hours. One of Eli's drones showed that conditions looked survivable so an expedition went to the planet.

103 Air (3) Lt. Scott led an expedition into a sea of sand, looking for a dried up lake bed, which would provide the right calcium salt needed by Destiny's carbon dioxide scrubber. Col. Young used the stones to phone home; he told General O'Neill he didn't see much hope of survival. Chloe, in someone else's body, broke the news of her father's death to her drunken mother, who threatened to go public about the stargate program if she didn't come back.
The expedition became a shambles. Rush locked horns with the criminal Sgt. Greer, who wouldn't take any crap from him. The expedition split up. Two of Eli's group decided to go back to the stargate to visit another of the nearby planets; and were never seen again. Greer shot the 3rd member of Eli's group to stop him from going through the gate.
Scott starts hallucinating his childhood guilt. Greer went to look for him. Eli got to point a gun at Rush. Scott found the lake bed and filled one lousy pack with lime to keep a whole spaceship's carbon dioxide scrubbers going? Really? Rush came up with a fix to get Greer and Scott through the gate when the ship's 12-hour count ran out. Then it was back to FTL.

104 Darkness (1) Destiny was short of water for washing. Rush was being a useless pain. Eli was getting people to record messages in case the ship was ever found. Rush ordered the kids to stop pushing buttons to save power. Col. Young had to remind Rush who was in charge. The ship dropped out of FTL, out of power. Rush collapsed in a state of hysteria.
Eli suggested using power from the shuttles for life support. Young phoned home, swapping bodies with Col. Telford, who started accusing everyone of sabotage as Young was apologizing to his wife, who knew he wouldn't be coming back. Telford; another nutter, like Rush; wanted to replace Young, but how?
Destiny surfed the outer atmosphere of a gas giant and got a sling-shot toward the star. Everyone started panicking because they were too dim to see that some sort of planned chromosphere surfing had to be on the cards.

105 Light (2) Eli was still recording pointless messages in case anyone found the spaceship. Col. Young planned to send 15 people and 2 crew to one of the planets. The only one likely to be habitable was on the far side of the star and going there was a blind leap into the unknown. Sgt. Greer got a smack in the gob and decked when he tried to mutiny.
Some of those left behind got a glimpse of Destiny from the shuttle as it left with the 20% of the cast which was getting the sack! The planet turned out to be cold with not much vegetation. It was about two-thirds of the way through the episode before Rush realized that the star-surfing was how the spaceship resupplied itself with energy.
The shuttle was recalled but it couldn't intercept Destiny. Rush came up with a slingshot manoeuvre using the planet (so no one got the sack). Lt. Scott made a landing which was pretty much a controlled crash. Col. Young began to wonder if Rush knew about the star-surfing all along. Clearly, he didn't and Young seems prone to over-think problems to create new ones. And Rush clearly wants Young to think he's that smart.

106 Water The ship was losing water and Rush insisted that despite the stellar recharge, the ship didn't have the power to dial Earth. Col. Young didn't believe him and tried to make a spy out of Eli. Destiny dropped out of FTL at a frozen planet. Young and Scott had to don ancient spacesuits to look for ice which wasn't contaminated, like the ice around the stargate. Eli contributed a hover-sled.
Lt. Dr. T.J. was left in charge of the ship. The water was under guard but it was still disappearing. The dust-devil creatures which Scott had seen on the desert planet were aboard and drinking it: T.J. saw one of them. Sgt. Greer was locked up again for stealing rations. Young & Scott found a frozen waterfall and managed to get one load aboard destiny before Scott fell into a crevass.
On the ship, an idiot who tried shooting bullets at the intruders had his face ripped apart. Greet trapped the bugs but they started to seep out of a sealed compartment, so he built a flame-thrower. Another quake on the planet shoot Scott loose before he had to be abandoned. He was the next sled-load, not ice.
The bugs were trapped in a barrel and dumped on the frozen planet. Then it was off to the next spot of bother.

107 Earth Col. Young phoned home using the stones; he was told there may be a way of getting everyone home, but the plan could end badly. Young refused to take Gen. O'Neill's direct orders; he thinks he's running a democracy on Destiny. The IOA lady got a trip home, too. The IOA didn't think Rush wanted to get home (quite right), so it was up to their representative to persuade people that it would be a good idea.
Dial home at a stellar recharge was the plan. Col. Telford and 2 stooges took charge of putting the rescue plan into effect because no one at home trusted Rush. The ship dropped out of FTL. Telford started shooting weapons to burn energy and force another recharge. The stone connection kept dropping out briefly.
The ship did another recharge but dialling home didn't work; sabotage by Rush to get rid of Telford. Col. Young decided that future contacts with Earth would be time-limited to prevent another takeover attempt. Then he told Eli to find out what Rush was hiding. Meanwhile, on Earth, Telford was greasing up to Mrs. Young.

108 Time The next planet visited by Destiny's crew turned out to be hot and jungly, and people started collapsing. After dark, they started blasting off all their ammo into the jungle. No, it was all a recording on a kino video drone, which Eli had found. The Destiny gang had been to the planet before and they had found bodies. A time loop? An alternate reality? A solar flare creating a wormhole which was unstable in time, Rush decided eventually.
Chloe collapsed. So did people who had been on the planet on in contact with travellers. There were hungry tadpole monsters on the planet. The video showed Rush gating back to the ship, leaving everyone else to die. Dr. T.J. found that the source of the bugs attacking everyone was contaminated ice from the last planet.
The monsters on the planet could provide a cure for the disease, so Col. Young led an expedition to get hold of some for the doctor when there were 4 dead on Destiny, including Chloe. But nothing a spot of time travel couldn't fix, eh? But this episode ended with Lt. Scott telling a camera drone about the problem and the cure, and warning the people on Destiny that they were all going to die!!

109 Life Col. Telford was pumping Mrs. Young for info about him. Eli had checked Telford's plan to get everyone back to Earth; disaster in every simulation. Explorers found an Ancient chair. Young put a guard on it to make sure Rush didn't put some stooge in it and get him/her killed. Dr. T.J. was stress-testing the crew. They were stressed, by and large.
Camille Wray, the IOA lady, went boozing with her girlfriend on Earth in someone else's body. Scott visited an old GF and found that he had a son. Rush announced the discovery of a planet with naquada just one year away, giving everyone hope of getting home. Eli found that he'd faked the data.
Col. Young challenged Rush to go and sit in the chair himself when Rush admitted he'd lied for the public good—like he'd know what that is.
Texas 600 night race replay [20:00, ESPN] Kimball had his first ever pole. Big crash for Castroneves out of 3rd place, all on his own, on lap 92/248; his car broke. Another caution on lap 139 for debris; which none of the comms could see! Big crash on lap 152, 6 cars gone after a 3-wide sandwich, red flag to clean up lots of debris.

110 Justice The crew find a potato substitute on a planet and Sgt. Spencer is found shot. No gun. Rush, naturally, blames Col. Young for killing him. Lt. Scott gets to play detective. He finds the gun planted in an air vent. Camille of the IOA is allowed to hold a kangaroo court with Chloe as the voice of reason. Col. Young gives up his command to Camille as he's the prime suspect.
Rush uses the chance to manoeuvre a mug in to the chair; the mug gets his brain fried. Scott orders Eli to find out who framed Young. The ship opens a gate to another planet. There's the wreck of an alien ship on it. A video is found of Spencer killing himself, so there has been an obvious frame job. But by whom?
Young confronts Rush on the planet. Rush admits he did it. After a fight, Young returns through the gate and Destiny flies off, leaving Rush behind.

111 Space (1/2) Col. Young, being a wobbler, couldn't handle marooning Rush. Camille of the IOA was trying desperately to undermine him. Young tried to phone home but found himself on an alien ship instead. The alien in his body had to be subdued until the connection was broken. Young put the stones device off-limits.
Camille wanted to stage a coup but the military had all the guns. Destiny parked and an alien ship showed up, offered one word of English and started shooting. Boarders kidnapped Chloe. Young had himself tied down then went aboard the alien ship using the stones. He found Rush in a prison tank of water and freed him.
Young returned to Destiny and Rush killed the alien before he could return. Rush freed Chloe and Destiny bombarded the alien ship, which went into FTL.
Do we really believe the Rush could have picked enough out of their database to find the aliens' shuttle bay and fly back to Destiny with Chloe? Just how stoopid do we look?
Rush's story was that the aliens wanted Destiny's secrets, just like him. Young and Rush declared an armed truce for the sake of the crew, as Rush had confirmed Young's account of how Rush was stranded. Rush immediately started plotting with Camille.

112 Divided (2/2) Chloe & Rush were having nightmares about the aliens. Col. Young told Rush he knew Rush had stolen one of the communication stones, and that's why he ended up in an alien body. Rush claimed there was an alien sub-space tracker on the hull. With the ship out of FTL, it was a perfect time to take a look.
Young and Scott went out to shoot the alien tracker. Rush & Caminel staged a coup and tried to prevent the shuttle from re-docking. Rush tried to set up an alternative command post and locked Eli out of the system. He backed down from letting the shuttle be vaporized but he had control of food and water, but not life support.
Rush swapped Eli for food and water for the military. Rush made Eli look for power sources for the shields because he knew the aliens would be back; he had a tracker inside him. Young was able to get behind enemy lines using a space suit and a hole the aliens had cut in the hull.
Destiny was attacked by 3 alien ships. The coup collapsed. Young used the stones to get a surgeon to remove the tracker from Rush. Lt. T.J. had to complete the job when the ship went to FTL. Young and Camille pretended to pretend the coup attempt had never happened, but both knew it wasn't over.

113 Faith The crew was repairing the ship and Col. Young was making an effort to be nice to Dr. Rush. The ship dropped out of FTL at a star which wasn't there when the gate-seeding ships went through the area, and there was an Earth-like planet which should still be a molten ball of rock with a star so young. There was edible food plants but no wildlife. And a 2,000-foot tall Cleopatra's Needle.
A foof-gathering expedition went to the planet for a month whilst the ship swung round the star. Lt. Scott was in charge. Eli didn't believe that aliens created the star and the planet, and they could get the crew home, as some of the civilians believed. The words 'mouse' and 'trap' occurred to the viewers.
Dr. T.J. started puking; she was 15 weeks pregnant. The Needle shot a signal into the sky as the month came to an end. Destiny's second shuttle had been repaired somewhat. A lot of campers wanted to stay, including T.J. & Scott. Rush wanted to round them up at gunpoint.
Staying was not an option for the military personnel, as far as Young was concerned, but he offered the remainers have the damaged shuttle if the military personnel returned. The whole gang went back to Destiny.

114 Human Rush remembered neglecting his wife, who was dying of cancer. He wasn't there when she needed him. The chair had been modified to feed data from Destiny's database to him in a dream state. Chloe tried to apologize to Eli for betraying him. The ship had 6 hours at a planet with ruins. Chloe got to be the Dr. Jackson archaeologist.
There were tunnels on the planet and nothing much else. The civilians wanted to go into the tunnels as they had to contain what the ship had stopped for. The military didn't. Predictably, Lt. Scott, Sgt. Greer, Eli and Chloe became trapped in a tunnel. Rush came up with an answer to Life, the Universe and Everything: 46, not 42.
Lt. James tried to blast a new hole to free the first expedition; didn't work. Rush was brought off the chair after he'd admitted to himself that he's a callous bastard. Could he prevent Destiny from going to FTL? Nope, so that was 4 regulars taking a turn to be left behind. Rush thought the Ancient genetic code could be the key to getting control of the ship.

115 Lost Destiny went into a power-saving mode for no apparent reason. The tunnels on the last planet visited were collapsing and full of big bugs. Destiny's next stop would put it out of range of that planet's stargate. Lt. James had decided that Col. Young hated her. T.J. failed to tell Young about the baby because Dr. Brody had told Dr. Rush to share their finding; that Destiny was about to leave the galaxy.
There could be one more stop and just one more chance to retrieve the 4 left-behinds. Chloe found maps in the tunnels. Sgt. Greer was trapped by a collapse. Destiny dropped out of FTL with just a 3-hour window. Trapped, Greer recalled his horrible childhood and his drunken father. The others got back to the stargate and picked a planet at random, hoping to pick up Destiny's signal.
Greer got to the gate after the other 3 had gone; to a planet with monsters. The Gulf war to rescue Kuwait is what turned Greer's dad into a monster and blighted his childhood, he recalled whilst sitting alone at a camp fire. T.J. told Young about the baby; he told her they were going to make it work. Despite what the army did to his dad, Greer enlisted.
It was snowing on the planet where Col. Young stranded Dr. Rush. Scott, Eli and Chloe had been going away from Destiny's track. Eli wanted to sprint to the crashed alien ship to look at the computer. Lt. James found Greer and got him back to Destiny.
Chloe spotted something which helped Eli to pull up a map. Could they get back to Destiny in time? No, Rush dialled in at the last moment and blocked their attempt. Destiny moved on, leaving the trio stuck.

116 Sabotage Col. Young told the crew that they would be under strict rationing for the trip between galaxies and the lost trio were beyond recovery. Rush thought the ship wouldn't make the voyage under power and he wanted to bring an expert aboard to make the FTL drive more efficient.
Dr. Perry was severely disabled and in a wheelchair. Lt. James was freaked out by the ventilator when she tried to provide a host body using the stones. There was something wrong with her and Dr. T.J. started wondering if she had a concussion. Camille took the gig on condition that she could spend some time with her girlfriend.
The expert needed to make the FTL 5-6% more efficient. The ship crashed out of FTL; sabotage? The aliens had got to Lt. James using the stones and they were on their way to attack the ship. Suddenly, someone dialled Destiny's stargate; it was Scott, Eli and Chloe able to return!
Hearing that Dr. Perry could care about an arse like Rush really freaked Eli out! A worn-out part of the drive had to be isolated as it was slowing the ship down. The crew checked out a nearby planet as an alternative refuge; it was full of hostiles. Rush prepared the whole crew for a battle, then the aliens arrived.
Dr. Franklin, who had been damaged when Rush talked him into using the chair, had to go back to the modified chair to help with the repairs. Destiny suddenly went to FTL again and it could get to the next galaxy after the repairs. There was no sign of Dr. Franklin when the crew went back to the chair room.

117 Pain Scott having an affair with Lt. James as well as Chloe and beating James up? The door controls not working for someone? Sgt. Greer suspecting Camille and Rush of being up to their old tricks? Dr. Volker having lots of weird experiences? The search for Dr. Franklin was called off and Dr. T.J. pinned down all the weirdness to an away mission.
The participants had tiny ticks clamped on to them. Scott collapsed when T.J. tried to remove his. Chloe enjoyed meeting her dead father. Scott's tick disappeared; to a new host. T.J. managed to get the tick off James. Chloe was debugged against her will. Greer gave himself permission to use deadly force against the traitors. He was defused and everyone was debugged.
Destiny dropped out of FTL again. "Don't forget the bug spray," Rush warned Young when he prepared to send a team through the gate to explore for a while.

118 Subversion Rush had a dream about Col. Telford leaking data to the Lucian Alliance; a residual memory from using the stones. Lt. Scott wouldn't believe him but Col. Young was sure that the Lucians had Goa'uld brainwashing technology. Telford let 37 people die to avoid blowing his cover when he was undercover in the Alliance. Young refused to believe that an honest agent of Earth would have done that.
Rush volunteered to do the next swap with Telford and try to find out what he was up to on Earth. Young used the stones to brief General O'Neill. Young challenged Telford when he arrived on Destiny but got nowhere. Rush was blown and extracted from under the noses of the remains of SG-1 in an alkesh with stealth technology. He woke up in chains.
Telford was locked up on Destiny. Rush was tortured by the Lucians, who told him they had found another Icarus planet and they were preparing to dial the stargate on Destiny. Camille tried to poke her nose in when she found that Telford was a prisoner. Young brought General O'Neill aboard. Telford confirmed that he was a traitor. After O'Neill had gone, Young ordered the air in Telford's compartment to be vented! Continua.

119 Incursion (1/3) Col. Young took Col. Telford to the brink of death, then revived him, knowing that this was the only way to break the conditioning. Telford reported that the Lucians were coming to Destiny. Young warned General O'Neill and placed the gate room off limits. Young planned to evacuate the air if the Lucians dialled the stargate.
Col. Carter launched an attack on the Lucian base but they were able to get to Destiny and took Rush with them, so the air evacuation plan didn't happen. The second Icarus planet blew up, like the first one. The Lucian boss lady threatened Young with 3 dead prisoners, including Lt. T.J. She had to negotiate with Camille Ray. Young reported to Gen. O'Neill, who poured some starch into him.
Back in his own body, Telford pretended to be with the Lucians still and extracted half a dozen of their troops. One of them turned to sludge; no one knew why. Meanwhile, Eli was lugging Chloe around; she'd been shot. The ship's life support systems were overloaded. No one knew why.
The BGs demanded medical supplies. Rush and Young agreed that the BGs had to be taken down. Continua . . .

120 Incursion (2/3) The negotiations start. The ship suddenly lost power. Kiva, the Lucian boss lady, killed a prisoner, Rivers. Then she had to talk to Camille Wray. The ship was suffering power failures when the shields had to ward off gamma rays from a binary pulsar with a period of about 47 minutes. The Lucians dialled the gate on Destiny, and made it drop out of FTL, at the worst possible moment. The FTL will not engage again.
The shield will withstand only 2 more bursts. Scott learnt that Eli and Chloe are not prisoners when Kiva did a prisoner exchange; 4 for 4; two live civilians plus two dead men. Eli nearly spaced himself and Chloe. Scott started wobbling and needed starch from Sgt. Greer. Someone had to do a spacewalk to fix the ship, and that involved using a hull hole in Lucian territory.
Kiva wanted control of the ship's systems as the price of co-operation. Col. Telford came up with a plan. Rush and Brody pretended to run away (to an auxiliary control room) when Young surrendered. The space walk began, Kiva and Telford shot each other and the 2 spacewalkers. Scott & Greer, needed help from Rush and Eli to get back into the ship. Varro, the next Lucian boss, decided to kill the soldiers. Sickbay became a charnel house. The pulsar struck again. Continua . . .

+++ Season 2 (2010/11) +++

Stargate Universe, the cast

201 Intervention (3/3) T.J. dreamt about being on a planet built by the aliens with Caine (who he?) as part of a scenario involving the aliens stealing her (unborn) baby. The space-walkers didn't make the airlock but they were able to hide from the gamma blast on the hull then get aboard using the airlock. Chloe's leg healed miraculously. The Lucians used the stones to get doctors from Earth to work on the wounded. Destiny's countdown clock restarted.
Kira croaked, leaving a nutter called Dannic in charge. Rush drained the shields to prevent another FTL jump and put the ship at the mercy of the pulsar. The Lucians dumped the crew on a planet that was a stormy, rocky wilderness. Telford was still alive. The Lucians found where Rush and the others were lurking. The countdown stopped. Scott & Greer took out some BGs.
Rush told Dannic to surrender or die. He moved his crowd to hydroponics, which was well shielded. Dannic dumped some Lucian dissenters on the planet. Scott & Greer liberated the medics. The Lucians turned up shooting. Dannic was shot and the Lucians surrendered. T.J. learnt that she had lost the baby.
The marooned party was retrieved. The ship did a quick jump to the next planned destination. T.J. went walkabout to the observation gallery and saw the nebula which she had seen in her hallucinations about the alien-built planet.

202 Aftermath Dr. Rush couldn't sleep; guilty conscience, and he hallucinated Gloria, his dead wife, because he couldn't admit he'd found the master code for Destiny. A prisoner revealed that the Lucians think Destiny will give their gang culture god-like powers. Food and water supplies were short with no immediate prospect of restocking and some prisoners wanted to prove that they are no threat.
Camille, looking for new supporters, thought Lucian lives were of more value than those of Earthers. Rush knew that Destiny was designed to be run by a crew, who knew what they were doing. He wanted to stop at a planet which was locked out of the dialling system. The gate there didn't work but it was within shuttle range.
Rush started seeing the vanished Dr. Franklin, who told him that the planet was a volcanic hell-hole. The shuttle lost power during the descent and crashed. Riley ended up trapped and the shuttle was a write-off. The prisoners started a riot on Destiny. The gate on the planet wasn't working because it had been buried by a rockslide.
Destiny jumped on. Rush kept digging his non-disclosure hole deeper because he thought he should be in charge. Riley knew he was going to die. T.J. told him she thought she went back to the alien-built planet and her baby was there. Young told the Lucians: behave or there will be consequences. Scot had enough explosives to blow the gate free of obstructions!!!
Telford gave Young an ultimatum from the IOA. Rush made the ship drop out of FTL, which made the other boffins suspicious as there was no planet nearby. Eli managed to dial the gate on Destiny. Riley didn't survive. Telford & Camille extracted the useful Lucians from the bunch whilst Young was away. The rest were scheduled for dumping. The ship jumped on; then stopped at an object.

203 Awakenings Destiny docked with one of the seed ships for an exchange of data; Rush knew this but kept it to himself. Drs. Brody and Volker got a 2-hour trip to the other ship. Rush had to stay on Destiny. Chloe's leg wound had healed miraculously. Rush was talking to his dead wife and keeping more secrets. Telford was trying to take over.
The residual Lucians didn't want to be prisoners. Young told them they would have to prove they weren't a threat. Rush wanted to go to the seed ship to get power to dial Earth from Destiny's stargate. An alien visited Volker in the control room and collapsed. T.J. and Telford were sent over. Sgt. Greer found lots more empty alien pods.
The seed ship started draining power from Destiny. The alien legged it and Rush was knocked out. Telford took over the mad boffin role. Rush went AWoL. The ships undocked. Rush up to his tricks, and that was Telford ditched and surrounded by (hungry?) aliens.

204 Pathogen Chloe was acting weirdly, Eli & Scott told each other. Eli had to stone back to Earth, where his mother was in hospital and not taking her meds. Rush was too busy getting up to no good to get on the job when Destiny dropped out of FTL for no apparent reason. Camille got a trip home and the Lucians were allowed out of gaol under escort.
Chloe disappeared. The stroppiest Lucian was locked up again. Eli tried to tell his mom about the stargate programme. Scott found that Chloe was writing a diary in the language of the crashed alien ship. She had to be watched 24/7. Letting Rush do some watching was a very bad idea. The Lucian trouble-maker admitted feeding the Earthers disinformation when the leader told him to behave.
Destiny dropped out of FTL again. No gate, again. And Rush was AWoL. And he lied about it. He pointed a finger at Chloe: had she hijacked the ship under alien influence? Sgt. Greer faced down the trouble-maker. Camille's girlfriend was cracking up. So was Eli's mom. Camille engineered a trip to Destiny using the stones for Eli's mom to prove that he was still alive. Then Sharon, Camille's girlfriend, visited Eli's mom.
Rush thought putting Chloe in the Ancient chair would kill off the alien influence. More Rush baloney; Chloe wasn't cured and Rush wanted to inveigle her into his conspiracy.

205 Cloverdale Scott and Greer got to Cloverdale, where Scott though he was marrying Chloe. Some organism invaded him when he was attacked by a plant monster on an away mission, making him too dangerous to be taken back to Destiny. Rush wanted T.J. to cut the affected arm off. The monsters were closing in as Lt. T.J. prepared for her first ever amputation; but the infection had spread into Scott's body. And it could spread to everyone on Destiny if he was taken aboard.
Greer set up a perimeter of containers and acquired flame-throwers to defend the gate area. Chloe had some blue juice on her clothing but she was okay as she had already been infected by the aliens who were after Destiny. So she infected herself deliberately with blue plant juice. Meanwhile, Scott's wedding disaster unfolded; Eli didn't think he was serious and Scott got cold feet.
Chloe turned out to be immune to the alien nastiness so Scott was given a transfusion from her. [Hope he was a compatible group! Ed.] The monsters didn't like the event horizon from the gate, Greer spotted. When the flame-throwers ran out, the Earthers kept dialling the gate to keep the monsters at bay. Scott & Chloe were allowed to board Destiny but Col. Young had them put in strict quarantine.

206 Trial and Error Lt. T.J. wanted to let Lt. Scott out of isolation as he showed no alien stuff in his blood work. Eli was teamed with Ginn, a Lucian lady boffin. Chloe's skin was crystallizing into an alien exoskeleton. Destiny stopped and 9 alien ships appeared; they wanted Chloe. A shooting war broke out, Scott was spaced and Destiny blew up.
Colonel Young woke up in a talking shop and Rush was trying to sell his daft ideas to Chloe. Young was doing a lot of boozing. The 9 aliens showed up again, followed by 6 more. Young tried diverting all power to the shields until Destiny jumped to FTL again. Didn't work. Young took his Groundhog Day loop to Camille, who told him to talk to Chloe. The aliens turned up a 3rd time and they got Chloe after boarding Destiny. Groundhog again for Young. T.J. told him her crazy story about the planet-building aliens having their unborn baby.
Sgt. Greer, her escort, made sure that Eli got alone time with Ginn, who was fascinated by Eli's documentary tapes. Destiny dropped out of FTL again. Young didn't want to know. Rush claimed he didn't do it. Eli realized that the ship's computer was running a huge battle simulation program and Camille spotted that it was affecting Young.
Rush tried to tell Lt. Scott that the ship was saying that Scott should replace Young. Scott and Young had a home-truth session. The ship moved off again when Young exerted his authority again. And there was Rush messing about behind the scenes and talking to the vanished Dr. Franklin.

207 The Greater Good Homeworld Command wanted to question Ginn using the stones because her Lucian clan was plotting an attack on Earth. Camille dropped in to tell her this when she was entertaining Eli. Destiny dropped out of FTL at a new type of Ancient spaceship; one which had been shot to bitz in a battle. No sign of Rush, as usual.
When he turned up, Rush wanted to go aboard the new ship in a spacesuit (in the absence of a shuttle). Col. Young went too to watch him. Rush got some life support switched on. He denied being responsible for a short burn of the engines, which set the wreck drifting away from Destiny.
Amanda Perry was brought aboard Destiny, in Ginn's body, to help with finding the command codes to move Destiny toward the wreck. Rush sent Eli to work with Dr. Park to separate him from Perry. Simeon, the stroppy Lucian, tried to intimidate Ginn again, not knowing that Park was in her body. When Perry got to the chair room, Rush admitted he had control over navigation and propulsion on Destiny but he hasn't told anyone else. Eli cracked the conspiracy.
Young beat Rush up for killing Riley and losing their only working shuttle. Rush came up with some bollox about the Ancients detecting signs of an intelligence at work in the universe at the time of the Big Bang. He thought seeing the mission through and learning this intelligence's secrets was the only way to get everyone home. Then he tried to deny that he wanted to play God when everything he did made a liar out of him.
Perry manoeuvred Destiny; and crashed into the other ship. Women drivers, eh? Eli worked out how to get Rush and Young back to Destiny and Rush had to help Young get his magnetic boots on to the hull. At the end, Eli walked in on Perry, in Ginn's body, snogging Rush. Dis-bloody-gusting, or what!

208 Malice Col. Young was trying, and probably failing, to understand Rush's motives. Homeworld Command still had Ginn, hoping to get more information on the attack on Earth. Rush found Ginn/Perry dead in his quarters. Stroppy Simeon had escaped, killing several soldiers, to kill Ginn to prevent her giving information to the Earthers. He took Eli and Dr. Park prisoner in the gate room and gated to a nearby planet, taking Park with him.
Rush, waving a gun, followed them. He found Park with a bomb strapped to her back. He was able to disable the proximity device and throw it to explode at a safe distance. Simeon knew details of the Lucian attack on Earth. Scott kicked Rush's ass when he tried to go after Simeon to kill him in revenge for killing Dr. Perry. Simeon had left T.J. with lots of work on Destiny; 4 dead, 3 expected to survive.
Young told Eli to stall Destiny's time clock; an impossible job but if the ship spent 4 hours at FTL, it would still be in range of the planet's gate. Eli turned into a Rush clone on Destiny. The ship dropped out of FTL with 8 hours on the clock. Lt. James and her squad got blown up a bit. Rush got up to his tricks again. Col. Young had to tell Eli to stop pretending to be Rambo. Sgt. Greer got himself shot on the planet, giving Rush a chance to go Rambo.
Chloe was allowed to use the knowledge gained from Rush to help. Simeon taunted Rush on the comm system, so Rush arranged a stampede of beasts of some kind to trample Simeon so that he could walk up to him and blow him away. Scott told Rush that he was an hour overdue back at the gate. Chloe had turned the ship back toward the planet; at what cost in the future, no one knew.

209 Visitation Destiny dropped out of FTL next to a shuttle; the damaged one abandoned on the planet built by the aliens for the use of Dr. Caine and the remainers; which was impossible. Caine & Co. were all aboard. They were allowed to dock then put in confinement. T.J. was obsessed with the imaginary baby, which she thinks was on the aliens' planet, which the remainers named Eden.
Caine was sure God brought them back to Destiny. Their memories contained big holes. The shuttle was as brand new. Col. Young was freaked out by them but the remainers were allowed to rejoin the crew. Camile tried hypnotizing the remainers to recover memories. Sgt. Greer reminded Scott that Chloe was turning into one of the enemy and he apologized to her for having to kill her when the time came.
The remainers started to die. One of them, Val, died on the planet months before when a tree fell on her, another remembered. In fact, none of them survived the first winter. They continued to die in order on Destiny. There was a kino in the shuttle; showing Caine's last moments. All of the Edenites were rebuilt by the aliens physically 'but without a soul', he claimed. Which is total crap. If the aliens could build a planet, they could shove some stickability into human constructs.

210 Resurgence (1/2) Eli was on post-Ginn strike; or was it post Riley strike? Destiny picked up an energy signature off its planned course. Rush was okay about going sideways and ignoring his precious mission. Dr. Volker thought it was a bad idea and boy, was he proved right. But he was ignored. Dr. Brody, Lt. Scott and Sgt. Greer were sent in the refurb shuttle to explore the debris field from a space battle.
Camille was worried that Eli wasn't distracted enough by the recent deaths. T.J. spotted something moving in the debris. Surprise! Some of the fighters were dormant rather than dead and they attacked Destiny, which couldn't jump to FTL. A seed ship dropped out of FTL; the one on which Col. Telford had been trapped with a gang of aliens.
Telford led Destiny through the nearby star's atmosphere, which put off the enemy for a while. Telford said the Ursini aliens on the seed ship were desperate but not unfriendly. They had educated him and repaired the seed ship, and they were in a war with the drones. They didn't dare go home unless they knew the drone threat was over.
Young wanted to help the Ursini by taking out the drone control ship. Rush wanted to double-cross them. The Ursini got their double-cross in first. Destiny found itself in a space battle it couldn't win. Worse, Chloe escaped and went rogue. Was Destiny doomed? Not with 10 more episodes to go.

211 Deliverance (2/2) Chloe sent a signal to the aliens looking for Destiny, which was being shot to bitz by drones. Some drones attacked the aliens when 3 of their ships arrived. Eli suggested jamming the signals to the drones from the command ship. Chloe was locked up again. Destiny killed the command ship; one of the three alien ships survived. Destiny's FTL drive could be repaired but not used until the disaster area of the shields had been fixed.
Rush & Young admitted that Chloe was beyond their control. The Ursini tried to contact their colony but it had been wiped out by another command ship, which turned its drone fleet on a new target. A shuttle was sent out to retrieve a drone for study. The alien ship parked right in front of the shuttle. They needed help. Young swapped Chloe for the shuttle.
The Ursini seed ship powered down and went dark. Telford suggested doing the same with Destiny. The command ship arrived as the aliens were extracting what Chloe knew about Destiny and repairing her body. Without FTL, the Ursini made a suicide run at the command ship and were wiped out. Eli uploaded an IFF signal to the first lot of drones, which began to attack the new arrivals.
Destiny risked going to FTL with dangerously low shield levels. Chloe had been returned okay, but she was quarantined. She was still able to work on Rush's equations.

212 Twin Destinies Destiny had dozens of systems on the verge of failure with no spare parts. Eli thought that he and Ginn had figured out a way to dial Earth when Destiny was recharging in a star. Rush thought that would wreck his precious mission. Young reminded Rush that his (Young's) mission was to get everyone home. Sgt. Greer was allowed to prevent Rush from pushing buttons to prevent sabotage.
Eli used the stones to contact Earth; the smart people agreed with him. The only shuttle was docked on Destiny but another with Rush in it appeared out of nowhere. Rush II claimed that dialling Earth would get everyone killed. So that was Destiny stuck with two crazy Rushes! The plan was for everyone to go back to Earth except Rush, Young and 10 volunteers. But if the ship was designed to do its mission unmanned, why the 12 idiot remainers? And what was Young up to?
Col. Telford told them they're all nuts. He went home first in Rush II's story. Telford got through, everyone else died. Col. Young was daft enough to believe Rush II. Suddenly, there was another Destiny nearby, which the crew could loot for spare parts and food. Telford didn't buy Rush II's story. Rush II claimed Telford was to blame for killing everyone; then he killed Telford.
Scott found Telford dead. Rush I left Rush II sitting in the Ancient chair on Destiny II, which disappeared. Rush I got what he wanted; stuff to fix the ship and get on with the mission, and the opportunity to try Eli's plan was lost.

213 Alliances We still had a Col. Telford on Destiny. Senator Michaels wanted the low-down on Rush's baloney about a message from the Big Bang to decide if it was worth throwing more money at Destiny. Camille hosted her and Greer had to return to Earth to let Dr. Covel, an old acquaintance of Dr. Rush, use his body. There was another Telford on Earth.
Camille and Greer barely survived a Lucian bombing of Homeworld Command. Covel wasn't sure if Rush's 'message' was real. A cloaked Lucian cargo ship had crashed on the building and was there an unexploded bomb of 50-70 megatons in it? Camille decided she had to find and defuse the bomb.
Greer, Camille and an airman found themselves in an area flooded with lethal radiation. The airman was a Lucian, Camille spotted, and Greer got to shoot him. He was the pilot of the cargo ship. Varro, the head of the Lucians on Destiny, offered instructions on defusing the bomb. Eli came up with a way to bridge the communcation gap.
Rush found that Covel had sabotaged the stones to stay alive on Destiny instead of being returned to a radiation-killed body on Earth. Rush undid the sabotage and Senator Michaels defused the bomb on Earth.

214 Hope Dr. Brody got the stones working; sort of. Ginn returned (in Chloe's body) but how was she still there if both Ginn and Dr. Perry were dead? Rush suggested a displaced consciousness. Where was Chloe if Ginn was in her body? Dr. Volker collapsed. T.J. decided he needed a kidney transplant. Sgt. Greer got the job of donor.
Ginn kept having choking attacks and swapping back and forwards with Chloe. Rush thought Chloe's personality was in her own body but suppressed by Ginn's. Suddenly, Dr. Perry arrived. Rush wanted to put Chloe and the rest in the chair and do a Dr. Franklin on them. That happened when T.J. was doing the transplant. A phantom Dr. Perry appeared to her to tell her what to do.
Telford arrived from Earth to report that they had got their stones working and that Washington hadn't been blown up by the Lucian bomb. The phantom Perry showed herself to Rush. And the transplant worked. Ginn and Perry were in the ship's mainframe and happy to be there.

215 Seizure The IOA was desperate enough to use one of McKay's daft ideas for a 9th-chevron dialling operation, using a volcanic power planet on Langara. Even though there was a risk of blowing up the planet. Col. Telford claimed that the Langarans were up to no good with the Lucian Alliance.
Rush was too busy enjoying himself with Dr. Perry to be bothered about doing any work. Eli & McKay clashed but Eli approved McKay's dialling solution. Dr. Volker was okay but Sgt. Greer kept getting infections. Eli spotted what Rush was up to. Rush tried to go back to his body, which was in the chair, but he wasn't able to.
Mr. Woolsey introduced a Langaran leader to the stones; and he was replaced by Col. Young. Lt. Scott replaced one of the Langaran military at the power plant. Natch, there was a suspicious little jerk of a Langaran officer, who got suspicious. Telford tried to recruit McKay to the Destiny mission. Rush wasn't back; Perry was messing with his head. Ginn tried to warn Eli.
Woolsey found that the Langarans had been saying no to the Luciansn to avoid affecting their alliance with Earth. Rush realized that Perry was holding him prisoner and wrecked the simulation. McKay got his proof of concept without completing the dialling process and the gang from Earth had to stand down.
The Langarans demanded protection from the Lucians and the removal of the stargate from their volcanic power plant. Eli put Perry and Ginn into a quarantined area of the memory bank.

216 The Hunt Dr. Park didn't approve of a hunting expedition for meat. The group ran into something big and fast, Dr. Park was injured and Cpl. Reynolds, also injured, and Lt. T.J. were grabbed. Did Greer choke when he had a shot at the creature? Col. Young led the rescue party and Greer was sure he was making a bog of it. Varro told Lt. Scott the Lucians were much better hunters than the Earthers. The captives were in the creature's cave as the next meal, T.J. realized.
Eli got upset because Rush wouldn't let him examine a collection of stasis pods. Dr. stoopid Brody shut himself in one! The monster ambushed Greer; Varro said it was hunting the hunters, it was that smart. Lt. James got Greer to focus on the job in hand. The Lucians took over the rescue after the ambush.
There was more than one monster; well, there would be. T.J. got a radio working. Eli got Chloe to look at the Brody problem. The monster was smart enough to know that an animal which could light a fire wasn't lunch. The captives were rescued and no monsters or humans were harmed further.
Did Rush trap Brody in the stasis pod to annoy the other boffins? Anyway, Brody was released. And Greer shot a 'deer' on the way back to the stargate, so there was a barbecue for the carnivores. Dr. Volker was okay after his kidney transplant but not getting anywhere with Dr. Park.

217 Common Descent Destiny was low on power and the air was bad. Destiny stopped and drones attacked and a command ship homed in. Rush had to space the drone he'd retained for study. The ship took a pounding before going to FTL again. The people on the planet at the next stop recognized Scott & Greer.
They were descendants of the Destiny crew who disappeared in episode 212; they'd been hurled 2,000 years into the past to a planet they'd named Novus, which had geological problems. These people were colonists looking for an alternative home and they'd lost contact with Novus, where there were 2 political factions; the young people and a cargo cult based on Dr. Rush! The youngs thought Rush was an evil demon.
The colonists wanted Destiny to take them to Novus; not a good idea given the tattered state of the ship. There was antique kino footage to view showing the ancestors from the other Destiny getting old as they built a new civilization. As a compromise, Young decided to stop at Novus to find out what had happened to prevent gate travel from the new colony to the home world.
Drones attacked and there was a partial evacuation. Eli, Scott, Greer and Camille were left behind and the planet's stargate had a big chunk knocked off it. Eli thought the gate activity was attracting drones which were programmed to destroy Ancient technology. Eli figured out how to contact Destiny and Col. Young could read Morse code.

218 Epilogue A shuttle landed in a frozen city, where it was snowing ash. Destiny took a shot from orbit to blast open the door to an underground archive, which also contained retrievable supplies of food. Chloe found her other self's diary. Earthquake! The other Dr. Volker died of kidney failure. The people on the planet built huge ships for an evacuation to another world; 10 days away by FTL, 200 years for their sub-light ships.
A black hole was ripping the system apart. How much data could be copied to Destiny? Eli and Cpl. Barnes mated. Earthquake, R6.2; the city was falling into a fault line. T.J. discovered that she is going to die in less than a decade of ALS. One of the other colonists said there was a cure listed in the archive.
Young and some of the others were trapped when the power went off and a stairway collapsed. But there was a ladder. Varro fell off after catching T.J.; he was rescued injured. The carbon dioxide scrubbers on Destiny were upgraded. Volker spotted that Rush was making himself scarce because the other crew had managed to make a success of things without their Rush.
The cure for T.J. wasn't in the portion of the archive retrieved. But what was stopping the Destiny crew from working out how far along their 200 year journey the slowliners had got, with their complete copy of the archive, and doing an RV? Apart from a lack of imagination, of course.

219 Blockade Rush was still upset about being left out of the other Destiny's civilization. Destiny aerobraked in a gas giant but had to abort a stellar refuelling job when drones attacked. They attacked again when Rush took the ship off track. Every likely star within Destiny's endurance had been blockaded. Eli had the crazy idea of refuelling in a blue giant after parking most of the crew on a nearby planet using its stargate.
Dr. Park volunteered to stay aboard with Eli and Rush to try to save some of the plants in the hydroponics dome, which would be destroyed. Telford wanted to use the stones to consult the homeworld. Col. Young told him they were doing it. Period. The gate on Destiny connected with one in an abandoned building in a city which reminded some of the travellers of Pittsburgh. Young took teams to look for useful stuff.
Park got stuck in the dome after Destiny locked it down. Young had a look at the city; it had been attacked by drones. Then drones arrived, attracted by the gate activity. Rush wanted Eli to stop bothering about Park and if she died, she died. Dr. Morrison panicked and attracted the drones to the gate building. Young, Scott and Greer shot one out of the sky. Varro took out another with an anti-tank missile.
Destiny was fully recharged. Park was fried a bit but she managed to survive; but she was blinded by the glare. Everyone got back aboard Destiny.

220: the finale Gauntlet Dr. Park was still blind, Col. Young was exhausted and Eli and Young could spot drones. They were at every stargate between Destiny and the edge of the galaxy. Col. Telford announced that resupply from Earth using the gate on Destiny wasn't going to happen. T.J. wasn't looking forward to being trapped in an immobile body by ALS. Rush thought dropping out of FTL and bombarding a drone command ship might buy them some restocking time at a nearby planet.
Rush had an idea for minimizing the bombardment damage but it was a guess which could leave the ship with either shields or none. Chloe aimed Destiny at a command ship; Destiny emerged close enough to side-swipe it! The shields worked but the drones became kamikaze missiles. The ship took more damage before the command ship was destroyed. The shuttles found a limited amount of food.
Eli suggested trying to FTL to the next galaxy without stopping, using the stasis pods (surprise! there's one each for everyone!), which would take 3 years if there was enough power, or maybe thousands if not. Rush was against it, claiming that too many things could go wrong and the 'mission' was about things found along the journey, not reaching the final destination. Young gave Rush 24 hours to come up with a better plan.
Chloe pointed out a big hole in Rush's objection. There were final home visits for the crew using the stones. Dr. Volker found that there weren't enough pods; some were damaged and palladium from an asteroid belt was needed to repair them. Dr. Park came up with a solution which involved sacrificing a shuttle.
One of the pods couldn't be repaired. Rush volunteered to be the one left out but no one trusted him. Eli told Colonel Young that he was smarter than Rush; the apprentice now knew that he could exceed the master, and he would do the 3 years of solitary. And he let Rush know that everyone knew that Rush's gesture was never a serious possibility.
As Destiny continued the journey in FTL with only Eli awake, there were ends to tie up in a new series. Which wasn't forthcoming.
