29: Compstall Road
Looking west from the BP petrol station, or from a point near the junction of Compstall Road with Sand Lane, there is rather more of the village to be seen in winter when the trees are bare.

30: Carlton Avenue
On the last Friday of the month, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and the West Country were all locked solid in blizzards. In Romiley, we had a blue-sky day. On Monday, the snow arrived.

Above: It has been said on many occasions that when it comes to services from Stockport Council, drainage is not one of Romiley's strengths.
